DDBA is guided by a 12 member volunteer board. Memberships, sponsorships, and special project donations make the work of DDBA possible. Mission: To provide programs, economic development, a favorable business climate, and help maintain the vitality of Decorah's downtown and west side business area.

Downtown Decorah Betterment is a 501c6 nonprofit membership organization. The organization was started in 1974 in response to commercial development along Highway 9 on the south side of the community. The 11 founding members came together to offer targeted services, programs, and support specifically for the downtown business district.
